Platform Overview

What Is Evive and How Does It Work?

Introduces Evive's purpose as a digital gambling behavior change platform — what it is, what it isn't (not therapy, not crisis support), how clients access it, and its founding background.

What Evive Is

Evive is a digital platform for gambling behavior change. It was built to reach people experiencing gambling-related harm who are unlikely to engage with traditional services — and to support those who are already in treatment with tools they can use every day, in between sessions.

The platform offers structured, evidence-informed content organized around three pathways: Manage (moderation and harm reduction), Stop (cessation support), and Affected Individuals (support for family members and loved ones). Users move through the platform at their own pace, choosing the pathway that reflects their actual goals — not the goals we assume they should have.

What Evive Is Not

Evive is not a substitute for therapy. It is not a crisis service. It does not replace the therapeutic relationship — it extends it. Think of Evive as the space between your sessions: a structured, supportive environment where your clients can reinforce what you're working on together, access additional CBT-based content, and stay connected to their goals.

How It Works

Clients access Evive through our web based community or mobile app. After onboarding, they select a pathway and begin working through a library of evidence-based lessons, exercises, and check-ins. The Evive Community provides peer connection with moderated support spaces. Providers can browse the full lesson library through this portal and recommend specific content to complement their clinical work.

Who Built It

Evive was founded by people with lived experience of gambling addiction, and technology experts. The platform is guided by a Scientific Advisory Board that includes clinical researchers and addiction specialists, and is actively partnered with state health departments across the United States.
